The Blumfield Hotel is a good country pub in the Adelaide Hills and in a great location opposite the National Motor Museum at Birdwood. The pub is easy to find in the main street of BIRDWOOD and has an old car mounted on the front of the hotel. The variety of food is typical pub food, such as fish and chips, schnitzel and burgers, and all reasonably good quality and fair price. However, the service was very good and... View all feedback.

We went for lunch. A beautiful autumn day out in the E Type enjoying the last of the late sunshine. A tiny dining room filled with happy people. A lovely warm fire as the air was chilly. The food was very average but delivered with such zeal you want to be nice. The chips a little ragged. The schnitzel was delicious but lacking seasoning. The mushroom sauce needed more time in the pan.The atmosphere was lovely and th... View all feedback.
This restaurant serves the smallest beef schnitzel in the world, topped with a garlic Diane sauce.
Meeting for a few drinks for the start of a girls night out. The experience would have been very positive if it wasn 't for an old Italian sounding bigot ogling at us making nasty comments, as if under his breath, but loud enough for many to hear. Hearing the words FG W’s come out of his mouth (trip advisor asked me to edit what he actually said, sounds like “ding doors” , I pretended not to hear as I did not want this geriatric to effect my evening. Though now some time later it still haunts me. The people behind the bar seemed to tolerate and ignore him. As I later learned he was a regular. As I said before, it would have been a very positive experience if not for him
The food was average, but the plates had not been heated so our meals started to go cold very quickly. The small electric heater in the dining room was useless. Avoid this place on cold days. We might visit again, but won't rush to do so. Ordinary pub grub.
Unpleasant odor and overcooked pork belly attempt to mask its spoilage. Vegetables are also soggy and overcooked. This is a prime example of subpar pub food on the lower end of the quality spectrum.
Excellent Sat lunch, while visiting the Holden museum. We all had Snitties with various toppings. Meals were very generous, fresh and well priced. Go there for lunch.!!
