Was Robin B at The Dancing Moose Cafe a mag?
We made this restaurant a stop on our Cabot Trail drive. We really wanted to try the Pannenkoek. We shared the one our server recommended—ham, onions, peppers and cheese. It was delicious and was large enough for two to share. The coffee was really good too. Service was friendly and fast. The owner/chef was delightful to talk with. This is a wonderful lunch or breakfast lunch stop on the Cabot Trail. View all feedback.

On our tour of the Cabot Trail we stooed at a few places along the route. The Dancing Moose was the first stop for breakfast. The combination store and restaurant is not big by any stretch of the imagination. If you show up late in the morning you might have to wait for a table. The good news is that the owner is expanding. If you Google the menu you will find all the different types of meals but the house specials are the ones you want order.

I decided to order #12 the Whatever Pannekoek. You have 1 choice sweet or savory.....I ordered the savory and it was the best breakfast ever! Staff is SO friendly, beautiful view and good coffee too.

We LOVED this little place! The friendly staff, the wonderful owner and the FABULOUS and UNIQUE breakfast!! The Pannekoek (Dutch crepes) were outstanding, and the HUGE bonus was they offered delicious tasting gluten-free!!! Given that I have Celiac this place was such a wonderful treat! We drove almost 2 hours round trip to have breakfast here three mornings in a row while staying in Baddeck! Thank you for being unique, flexible and delicious!

My son and I stayed at one of the Dancing Moose Cabins on the Canada Day long weekend. The cabin was perfect for us clean, modern, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. We got a great sleep, checked out the nearby beach in the morning, and finished off our stay with great Pannenkoek (Dutch Pancake) and coffee. The service was very fast and friendly. Make sure to add this as a stop on your next trip to Cape Breton!

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The hosts were fantastic, the breakfast was delicious, and the cottage had an amazing view. We had the opportunity to experience the Cabot Trail despite the trails being closed, and we were able to enjoy the beautiful views from here.
