The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and the prime rib was delicious. The potato slices were well-seasoned. I can’t believe I almost forgot to mention the shrimp—it was incredibly tasty!
I've been visiting this restaurant for decades, and when I think of Prime Rib, this is the first place that comes to mind. It's a true institution and a gem on the West Side. Although I no longer live in the area, I make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in town. The food and service are excellent, and the bartender is one of the best around. There's also a wonderful local crowd that adds to the experience.
The food was absolutely fantastic. The waiter was awesome. Prices are very reasonable. If there is a wait, it'll definitely be worth it! No reservations ahead of time.
A friend of mine used to work here many years ago and really enjoyed it, and now I can see why. This place is a classic, beloved neighborhood bar. They had a talented piano player and a singer who also played the trumpet, and both were excellent. However, the space is small and, with the volume of the conversations, it made it hard to have a casual chat. My stepdad, who has difficulty hearing, struggled a bit. The food was good—I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. We waited 45 minutes for a table after arriving at 5:10 on a Wednesday, so it’s definitely a popular spot. The staff, from the bartender to the host and servers, were all very friendly.
