The food was excellent and so was the service. It is a busy place and very loud inside so if you are looking for a quiet cozy place it may be too loud for you. I will go back for sure. View all feedback.
What Robert Piantkowski doesn't like about Cortese:
If you decide to order spaghetti for takeout, be sure to request extra sauce. The last two times I ordered it, there was hardly any sauce, and it didn't even coat the pasta properly. The spaghetti ended up tasting like plain noodles. I had to go out and buy a jar of sauce just to make it edible. View all feedback.
The last time I went to Cortese was in the 90s. We had to see if it was the same. Only on foot in the door was the sky! All four of us loved eating. Shell's Vincenzo for two of us. I can't wait!
At first glance the parking lot was full and we weren’t sure if we could get a table. But it was only a 15 minute wait. We got the toscana bread (could have had 3 more of those , the sausage soup (bold flavors but not enough meat for my liking , steak in a king cut with the special house sauce (steak was cooked to perfection but had way too much fat and was drowning in the juices. Still tasted absolutely delicious , my wife got the veal (She loved it but it didn’t have much flavor. Cooked very well. Had a few bites of French fries but they weren’t that good. My wife also got a strawberry daiquiri that she said was amazing. Service was very good. Polite and timely. He was excellent. Looking forward to going back again to try other things they had.
Great pizza, great spaghetti. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in town. I have only had good experiences. If you want a unique pizza try out the spinach Florentine. My absolute favorite. Came here for a family event and the staff was great, very attentive and professional. The outdoor seating is great in the summer.
Had dinner while visiting the area. The restaurant has spacious seating a comfort for those with post-covid anxiety. Welcoming and attentive staff. The Chateaubriand was perfectly cooked, very tender and moist. The flavor was marvelous. No bearnaise sauce was offered. Finished with Chocolate Mousse and coffee.
I think it's been a long time since I had Cortese pizza. But I remember it being saucy and flavorful. The pizza I had was good but too much cheese. Or they've changed how they make it.
