Called into this establishment, which calls itself a fish bar at around 8pm on a Saturday evening as we fancied a bite to eat. After waiting around for several minutes while the staff appeared to be putting up pre-ordered food, I was asked what I wanted and said cod and chips . The assistant looked blank, obviously not understanding what I was asking for. After the third attempt, she said A cone of chips? Another staff member overheard and pointed out that I wanted 'fish and chips '. It quite clearly states 'Cod ' on the menu so why the assistant had no idea what I was talking about was baffling and, to me, 'fish chips ' is not 'Cod chips '. When I finally got served, 10-15 minutes later, the food was adequate but nothing to write home about given the rather expensive price. Need to smarten up their ideas and get some staff who actually understand the products they are selling. Won 't be going back again any time soon.

I ordered the steak and kidney pie with chips at this restaurant, but I found it to be overpriced. When I opened the pie, it looked like mush and reminded me of dog food. It was also cold in the middle. I had to pick out the filling because I was starving during my lunch break. This was right when they opened, so I expected it to be fresh. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Something has gone awry here. Just not what it used to be. The chips were just not good and this was the main reason I used the place. Disappointing.
