I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The roasted cats and fried garnels were fresh, crispy, and full of flavor—not too hard at all. Even on a hot day, the staff was incredibly friendly. What User doesn't like about Slap's Catfish House:
This was the worst dining experience I've ever encountered. The service was lacking, and the hostess was particularly bothersome, behaving as if she were a child. The food was overpriced with tiny portions, and my fish was undercooked. We all left feeling hungry despite spending $60. View all feedback.
Great home cooked seafood meal with all of the traditional sides! Not many places still fry and serve whole catfish. Turnip greens were great. Everything is scratch made in house and it tastes like it! Hushpuppies cooked perfect and light like a good piece of cornbread! Give them a try!
Great food and prices!!! All you can eat choices!!! My daughter and I had fish and chicken platters and they were great!
Stephanie, our server, was great. our table was needy and she met everyone with a smile. the manager was also great, I think he's new, just what we didn't find satisfactory was the hostess who wouldn't leave our table alone to say sweat. everything else outweighed that. eating was great, we have everything they can eat, weep and garnish. it was excellent. food and beer prices are very fair. we will definitely return and recommend it very much!
Decided to take the family there on Saturday. It was a little busy so we figured we would be waiting. We got seated right away. Our server was Stephanie and she was soooo nice. She interacted with our 2 kiddos so well. Fried pickles were amazing...all our food came out hot and fresh! And it was def affordable for a family of 4. We will def be coming back. Thanks for the great service!!!
Eating was really good. both grilled and fried catfish and garnel were packed with taste. we were impressed. Hope with the new owner and new menu items that they have told us will not fall the service and quality. would like to make it a regular place.
