What User doesn't like about Hotel Settlers:
as disappointing, from cairns down and looking forward to our first meal, one night from cooking, my man ordered the special beer dipped barramundi and it was a small piece of barramundi and what also looked like. a package salat, which was very dry, and a small amount of chips, he said that they did not even stack the chips like a normal pub to fill them, vane got him on a good note the employees were beautiful and... This is one place you can count on for consistency. The staff are actually friendly (seems rare these days) and the meals are generous and delicious. Great family pub/restaurant with an awesome vibe! Make sure you check our christmas day / origin / melbourne cup etc. The publican really goes all out!
The hotel was across the street from our lousy motel and we where surprised to find a nice menu and had a great steak
One of the plusses of staying at the Settlers is being able to walk a few yards to have a meal or a quiet drink.We were very impressed with the salad and vegetable bars that were set out to accompany your choice of meal, and food was generous and tasted great. Menu was extensive and reasonably priced, and judging by how quickly tables filled up it's a popular local spot too.We arrived a bit early and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine while watching the traffic go by, before an early dinner and 10 second walk back to our rooms.
