Bumbalino - BILGOLA PLATEAU

Fantastic location right on the beach. no ruffles just good food, great coffee and friendly real personal burgers are the best on the northern beaches

Bumbalino's is a charming open-air café located near Bilgola Beach on the northern coast of Sydney. It is a bit off the beaten path, so visitors may only stumble upon it if they are exploring the area on foot or by car. The coffee served here is top-notch, with the kitchen chief Anthony preparing a delicious breakfast of toast and mushrooms that left me thoroughly impressed. The café is situated by the beach and offers a scenic walk along the cliffs leading to Newport Beach. As a Sydneysider who returned home after a twenty-year absence, I was delighted to discover Bumbalino's and can't wait to visit again the next time I am in the area.

The atmosphere was pleasant, although some tables were not cleared and had remnants on them. However, this was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. The location was beautiful, allowing patrons to sit in the café and enjoy the view of the beach. They only accept cash, and there is a charge for parking in the parking lot. I found free parking on the back roads of Newport and walked to Bilgola Beach, which took about minutes. It was lovely during the week in cooler months, but I can imagine it gets busy on weekends in the summer. I will definitely return to see it.

Bilgola Beach and Kiosk are hidden treasures in our community. They offer great coffee, breakfast, brunch, and lunch with friendly service, all in a fantastic beachfront location. You can also enjoy swimming or surfing, and there is even a swimming pool on the beach. They are dog-friendly and provide water for our furry friends. Just be aware that parking can be difficult during peak times, such as Sunday mornings in the summer.
