Seasonal tomato salad was simple and fresh, the artichoke with Iberian ham was delicious, and the lamb and beef stew were both flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The prices were reasonable and the dishes well-paced. Would definitely come again!

We have been to this restaurant many times before the 'new management ' took over.... TBH the food was OK, except the first course. Markina are part of the Amaren group. This clearly shows through their continued lack of customer service. The first course, Revuelto de Tortilla was veeeeeery under cooked. And, as I don 't have the ability to respond to Amaren 's social media team after this post, the response from the waiter, after they asked for feedback, was laughable. Very expensive for an average restaurant. Much better restaurants in Bilbao and don 't be enticed by their marketing nonsense. They purport to have the best Txuletons , as voted by various national competitions, in Spain. We 've eaten in far better and FAR less expensive Txuleton restaurants in Bilbao. As a resident here, for many years, I 'm very disappointed by the Amarens desire to appear to be the best. They are not. Living and enjoying many restaurants in Bilbao has taught me that. The Amaren group focus on tourists and not on quality, despite their hype. Local people here know this. Looking forward to the l response from Amaren to which I 'll not be able to counter
