If you'd never been with it, you'd see one of those many bars you'll find in bilbao. some good tapas, a selection of good crying. but go inward and on the back you will find a small and steep staircase. on the ground floor, six tables offer you the opportunity to taste some of the best local dishes in bilbao. menestra de verduras, a mix of the best available vegetables in the season in a thick sauce, brings her back many years to her grandmother kitchen. chipirones small squid or merluza frita fried hake are the best around. that is, not a long menu, but so good and served in such a friendly atmosphere as they find nowhere. because with wine, dessert and friendly service is not something you will find every day.
