We visited bilboa for the Easter celebrations and although it was a Saturday that wanted to try to get a menu del dia. in the old town, which is an busy tourist... read more We visited bilboa for the Easter celebrations and although it was a Saturday that wanted to try to get a menu del dia. in the old town, which is an busy tourist area, was the menu del dia between everyone. too expensive for use, so we have decided to go a bit away from the busy one, towards the residential area, where prices can be cheaper. we were very surprised to see this restaurant and the on the street that offers menu del dia for everyone. this restaurant is a side street over the river from the old town. the restaurant has a few tables. the tables on the street were all taken. the friendly waitress took our order for the courses. a half liter of red wine was placed on the table. one because later were laid bowls on our table, a new system on us. the pills contained the courses including something brot. we had. my wife had the alubias rojas (red kidney bean stew with sausage) I had the ensalada de bolas de queso (salad with cheese balls). my wife loved the nierenbean stew. I thought it was a little bland. it contained some sausage slices. the salate was also beautiful. it had a small piece toast with a very small piece pate. it was small, but fresh. my wife had the dorada a la plancha (half a Dorado fish with salat). I had the lomo con bacon y queso (pork with bacon and cheese) my wife loved the fish. it was bone and took some work, but it is hard to argue with that when the taste is there. salat was a great supplement with a beautiful dressing. the pork was discs of very thin cut pork with a piece of speck and cheese inside. then it was baked and fried. the court also had chips. I enjoyed it. the brot was fresh. we had both sprinkles in a chocolate sauce that was beautiful. the staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, eating was nice and very cozy. the only part is that all dishes come on a tablet at once. if they don't eat the first cure quickly, the second cure can go cold. highly recommended for the price for an lively city. the amount was paid by the bank card.
