Fernwood Tavern - Big Sur

This restaurant was amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. I was impressed that almost everything on the menu could be made gluten-free. The outdoor terrace was lovely as well. The nachos were truly the best I've ever had. I loved every moment!

It was pretty busy and it was the last game of the Dodgers Giants series in the bar, but also so the service was good. And the food was phenomenal. The Worm had a pulled pork sandwich and I had a fish battle, and they were very good, but the French nachos were by far one of the best things I ever had, we both felt like that. The pommes were flat and somehow puffy and were perfect to all the delicious things that came with him, the pink onions were the most unforgettable. Excellent!

We enjoyed the wild mushrooms Sidewinder fries, the Tavern Burger, and the crème brûlée. Everything was delicious, though the water had a strong chlorine flavor. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely, featuring a beautiful landscape with charming market lights and fireplaces. I would definitely recommend this place!

The outdoor terrace in the forest at sunset was fantastic. It created the perfect atmosphere for our visit to Big Sur after leaving the bustling city. The food was delicious! I tried the Tri-Tip Tacos, buffalo wings, and a salad, and everything was excellent! My wife enjoyed a pomegranate margarita and loved it.

Great place to get a quick bite. The fireplaces are nice to keep you warm in winter. summer time this is the place to be it’s cool and covered with redwoods.
