amazing surprise in Big Sur to find a place with so great authentic grill. the sides are great, the sauce is brilliant, and they can not choose bad smoked meat. stop them by and follow their card program as there is no sign of hwy 1. View all feedback.
What Eleanore Veum doesn't like about Big Sur Smokehouse:
Meal for 30 you get 1 meat selection chicken, tri tip, ribs … and two sides. I got tri rip, potato salad and coleslaw. Sides were awful as products were not fresh. Tri tip the same. Water was ok.The ready food apparently stored outside, just across restrooms. View all feedback.
The food is somewhat pricey, with two meals costing $70. The side dishes are not particularly appealing, but the main courses are the highlight. The staff, however, is very friendly.
I'm not a barbecue expert, but the brisket here is incredibly tender and perfectly smoked. The mustard vinaigrette sauce is absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly, and Ken, in particular, really went out of his way to make our day special. Thank you!
This is a nice spot for BBQ, especially given the resort ambiance. The BBQ here leans towards a healthier Californian style, which means it doesn’t quite embody that traditional BBQ experience of eating until you’re stuffed and ready for a nap. The chicken salad was flavorful, but I found myself wanting more from the brisket, especially considering the larger cuts available elsewhere. I might not be the best judge, but that’s my impression!
Eating was quite delicious. I have the tri-tip, my friend had the brisket. Tri tip was pretty great, the brisket was good, but I had better. sauces were pretty good, so the sides. the price was high, but this is to be expected for big sur.
