The Forsthaus boasts delicious traditional German fare, warm and welcoming service, and an old-fashioned atmosphere that transports you back in time. With friendly staff and a cozy ambiance reminiscent of a quaint Alpine village, Forsthaus is a must-visit for those craving a taste of Germany. Don't miss out on the veinerschnitzel- a true highlight of this culinary experience.
It's a funky old place which was nice, had a European feel. Unfortunately, the food was truly awful, burnt onion flavor prevailed. The only decent thing was the red cabbage! Great potential there but need serious help in the kitchen.
The food at this restaurant is fresh and delicious, offering authentic German cuisine. The service is friendly and welcoming, making me want to return again and again.
Just had my second meal here. The food is very good authentic German. I had my German MotherinLaw with us and she was delighted. We shared several app's and desert, and each had different entre's. The entire experience was great. The atmosphere has not changed in forever, it is like walking into a small place in the Alps. Delightful
We went here the night we arrived in the area for an extended weekend anniversary retirement celebration. It is definitely outoftheway, but well worth the trip. The food was excellent, the wait staff attentive then again, with only two tables occupied it might not have been that hard. The best part besides the food was conversing with the people at the other table. It felt like being part of a larger family that night. Oh, the last picture is dessert it did not last long at all.Almost too many options to select from, and none look badThere is a great selection of appetizers and entrees. We started out with the Shrimp Rosate appetizer, then moved on to our entrees. My wife chose the scallops special while I had the Rouladen. They were both fantastic. For dessert, we both went for the chocolate mocha torte which did not last long.If you like German food, I have had few better meals, even in Germany.Total cost was just under before tip
The food was amazing. Authentic German fare and you can tell the recipes have been passed down and refined through the generations. Family owned with with homey feel. The owner visited each table to say hello and chat with patrons. I recommend the veinerschnitzel
