This place is excellent eating is excellent some of the best Tuscan tasty eating. we all loved it
Last night we went to osteria taviani in bientina and what a sound it was: excellent eating and weine, personal service and high quality toilets (my top criteria for Italian restaurants). it is made by man and woman elena and alessandro who only. the best host and as friendly as well. we all had the tasting menu that was just as good and probably better than the famous sporter in whitstable. If I could forgive it more than staring, I'd be sure. the menu is in Italian, but does not fear the English redner, since elena can speak it like a native before starting the tasting menu, she took a note of our likes, unloved and allergies and changed what was served accordingly. one of the highlights for me (because everyone was excellent) was a delightful risotto, but not to forget that an excellent prosecco (I think this place could be called as restaurant enoteca as the wine choice was so good! we had long waited to visit, and now we found it, we will take all our friends there when we are close. the osteria is not so big l although it has sitting outside for the warm months, but I do not think that I share with them as long as they do not go and take them all tables when we decide to visit! tokio jack
Many thanks for the excellent dinner we had at their place! beautiful small terrace in the garden, and very inventive dishes the Discovery menu and her wein really convince us. very friendly service from a to z I can not yet be found fathom like a...small gem like this in a city like bientina. do not hesitate to wonder!
We had a fabulous evening at this fantastic restaurant. Our gracious hosts for the evening were Alessandro, the inspired cook, and his lovely wife, Elena, who did front of house. The setting was the verdant, peaceful outdoor area at the back of the restaurant. We...were with a group of friends, and tried the gustation menu, which offered treat after treat. The food was decidedly Italian style, but with a creative contemporary twist. Alessandro and Elena where possible use fresh produce from the local area, with all meat and vegetables sourced from the Tuscan countryside around Bientina. We started with an antipasto of onions stuffed with a mousse of chicken cacciatora and capsicum sauce. This was followed by two primi' consisting of a delicious risotto with tomato, lemon and coffee, with a mozzarella sauce, and then came tortiglioni with a meat sauce, with thyme and parmiggiano cheese. The secondo' was bistecca fritta with mashed potato, cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. Finally for desert, out came beautiful home-made ice cream with crumble. The menu changes from night to night, as Alessandro has a huge repertoire of dishes, so you'd be unlikely to be offered the above menu, but whatever you have, you can be sure that it will both surprise and delight.
