The Gulch - Bicheno

Loved this place! Best scallops and tentacles! The freshness of the food was amazing! Great to warm up by the fire. Saw sea lions and dolphins, so a magical spot!

Having read the trip advisor reviews I decided to have a meal there. I was not disappointed.On the owners recommendation I tried the fish burger and chips. The fish (gummy shark) was lovely and fresh presented in a wholemeal bun with fresh green salad. The chips were nice and crunchy and not dripping with oil. I will most definately pay them a visit next time I am in Bicheno.

Simply the best fish and chips we have had in such a long time. Look for it. Stop. Little coffee space too if you feel the need. (Head back through the car park to the seat that overlooks Bicheno and beaches for afternoon sun!)

Hidden away is this gem in Bicheno. Make sure you visit down by the wharf for the freshest fish and chips. Large portions, absolutely fresh. Can't say I have ever had better fish and chips anywhere else in Australia.

Having sampled fish and chips in the UK, France, Watson's Bay and Darling Harbour in Sydney, we can confidently say that The Gulch offers the best fish and chips we've ever had. The freshest and tastiest oysters, fish, and chips in a delightful setting make this restaurant a must-visit. Our recommendation is to visit towards the end of the day, bring along a great bottle of local wine, and relax as you enjoy your meal.
