Was Anonym at Pasini's a mag?
Stopped here on way home from St Helens to Hobart and were we hungry! we both opted for the Big East Coast brekky and it lived up to its promise! What Jim R dislikes about Pasini's:
A cozy pizza café situated next to the penguin tour center in Bicheno's town center. It’s an unassuming spot that caters to both locals and some tourists. For dinner, we ordered a small mixed leaf salad and a BBQ pork, ham, and pepperoni pizza to share. The food was decent—nothing exceptional—but reasonably priced for a quick and easy meal, which is typical for a small town like Bicheno. They serve breakfast, lunch,... View all feedback.

All day breakfast, distant surf views, good coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, friendly, extensive menu

The service from Chantelle was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble for her even filling our flask so we could enjoy more of their good coffee as we travelled on. She even gave us a tasting to make sure it was the right strength. Would definitely stop here again and will recommend this to everyone passing through or staying in lovely Bicheno.
After many visits here for coffee finally tried one of the wood fired pizzas - "nutty chicken" absolutely delicious.
2.30pm lunch, basically just us. Good menu, good service, great food! Very fresh veggie gluten free pizza, spicy chicken wrap, char-grilled sweet potato and green bean salad. Excellent flavours, freshness and servings. Vey fair prices. Will happily return!
Friendly staff , good value pizza. Tried the chilli devil, and enjoyed it. Small pizzas enough for 1

Oh dear. I've fallen into the classic tourist trap. In a town like Bicheno with lots of accomodation but only one or two dinner options, I picked Pasini. However, the next night, after having dined at The Bay restaurant in nearby Freycinet, I regretted my meal in Pasini very much. $35 got me a main course of lamb shoulder, with some mash and garden salad. The lamb shoulder was really dry and tough. The mash and garden salad were OK. My wife had the pork cutlet $30), which was a single pork cutlet. This was at least cooked well juicy and still tender. The kitchen was overwhelmed when we were there there was a 45 minute wait from ordering to getting our dishes. The kick in the balls? Next night's dinner at The Bay Restaurant, where we got white table cloth dining, with amazing views of the sea, much better food, excellent table service, and for the same price.
This place is truly a gem! When I visited, they provided tips for accessing the wifi, which was crucial for me as a foreigner trying to book my hotel and call my mom. The establishment was run by a guy from England and another from Nepal. They made fantastic salads, served great wine, and played excellent music. Overall, the atmosphere is filled with positive vibes!

Make sure to make a reservation for dinner in advance. Since it's a small town, dining options are already limited, and the popular spots tend to fill up quickly—this place is definitely one of the better ones. They serve fantastic pizza, good coffee, and there are plenty of delicious treats available for takeaway if you can't secure a reservation.
The good: The restaurant was far better than expected for resort town food. The scallops were amazing, and the seafood curry was among the best dishes we had in our week in Tasmania. The desserts looked like a highlight, but after a very long, relaxed meal, we didn't have enough time for it, unfortunately. The bad: First of all, the prices are higher on Sundays, a fact that is posted nowhere (that I saw) other than the counter of the restaurant. Which is pretty much useless for anyone who sits outside. So that was an unpleasant little surprise. Secondly, the seafood chowder was a bit unsophisticated. Basically a massive amount of cream with some seafood in it. It could stand to have a bit more substance. The bottom line: If you find yourself hungry in Bicheno, you could probably do worse than dinner at Pasini's. But it's certainly not worth going out of your way for.

I visited this restaurant for a bite to eat and was welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. The lamb shanks were cooked to perfection, and the fettuccine with Tasmanian scallops was simply delightful. The next morning, we came back for breakfast. The special included fresh oysters served in the half shell with a homemade tomato sauce, along with bacon and eggs. It was, without a doubt, the best breakfast I've ever had! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
After traveling from St. Helens to Bicheno for fresh fish and chips, we were disappointed to find the restaurant closed for maintenance. However, as we drove around, we stumbled upon a wood-fired pizza place, and I instantly knew it was fate. We enjoyed some of the best pizza, the finest coffee, and scrumptious apples along with an apple and quince slice that left me craving more. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning for their seafood chowder one evening. It was definitely worth the drive and the warm greetings we received. Thank you for making our Saturday so enjoyable!
Having spent nearly 20 years in the hospitality industry, I can confidently say that I had the best meal of my life at this café—specifically, the braised venison. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
Amazing food, great coffee and freshly squeezed juices and the most friendliest and helpful waitress A must stop place
