I had a Tuscan fish stew at the The Ombra della Sera Restaurant (a la carte) that was one of the best meals I had during my 2 week vacation.

Very little was open for business local... read more In chilly March my husband and I flew to Pisa airport, picked up a hire car and drove to Marina di Bibbona for an event. Very little was open for business locally but the friendly staff, the lovely grounds and spacious interiors of Park Hotel Marinetta gave me time, while my husband was in meetings, to stroll safely, read books copiously in a variety of different corners and treat myself to coffee or wine any time of day or night. The spa was also available but it was too cold for outdoor swimming in their various pools. Breakfast was included and we also ate once at the evening buffet. All meals were freshly prepared and the seafood and vegetables at the buffet were certainly very good. It makes perfect sense that large hotels lower their tariffs in low season and open for casual stopovers as well as group events. Upkeep work was being carried out in the grounds but this in no way spoilt our three night stay, especially as the tariff was so reduced.
