While visiting the Gainesville area, we decided to grab lunch, hibachi style. We love our Yamato's back home and decided to see if this location was just as good. We were lucky enough to be the lunch rush. We were politely greeted by the host upon entry. Note, if your entire party isn't there, you will have to wait View all feedback.
What Braxton doesn't like about Yamato Japanese In Ga:
The meal was good but there is a tremendous amount of smoke. I left feeling like I could still smell it on my clothes. The hostess was wearing ripped jeans and a cut off T-shirt, not exactly what you want to see from a “Steakhouse” View all feedback.
Hostess was friendly enough. The wait was about 30 minutes. However, I can't rate the food, as I lost my appetite after seeing 2 German cockroaches crawling along the edge of the hibachi grill. The chef saw them as well, and shrugged it off. As if it were a normal situation. We left quietly and went to the Korean BBQ place down the road.
We go here for everyone’s birthday. We looove it here. Whoever, We had a rough experience a few weeks ago with waiting for an hour and the hostess was new and a bit confused. But it’s okay! We will still be back.
My server Trey was very attentive and welcoming. I celebrated my birthday here and they give you so much food that it’s worth the price. For drinks I ordered the Dragon and I enjoyed it but if you don’t like sweet/fruity drinks, I wouldn’t order it. The Ninja was much stronger and lighter.
Just celebrated a friend’s birthday here and the service and food were both amazing! Everyone was very kind and attentive. Our server Trey was very nice and personable! Slayed! :
Double birthday celebration! So happy for the birthday BOGO! So fun at the grill. Great show from the chef!
