it is so great to have a safe, queer space in gainesville. my friends and i come most thursdays to see the burlesque shows (we love you vixens!! and every drag and burlesque performer here is so talented. the drinks are strong and affordable, and the security does a great job of making us feel safe and welcomed. I was having a good time with friends and about to leave when a drunk security person decided to tell us off for drinking water out of a water bottle. When I asked them why they allowed me to bring the water bottle in the first place and didn 't take it at the gate (as other bars do) if they have a problem with it, said security person got mad and told me he 's great at remembering faces and won 't let us come again.... Honestly this felt quite racist because I swear I so plenty other people drinking their own water, and I was treated like a criminal for doing that.
