We found this place just by chance while coming down from Dharamkot. This is a beautiful place to sit, enjoy the view and read a book. By the way they have a nice collection of books. It is away from the noisy parts of the town so it's a bliss. If you can find a place, then sit outside, people don't mind sharing tables. View is gorgeous. On the food I had a pot of jasmine tea, coconut biscuit and chocolate toffee. The toffee is to die for, not too sweet just right. We also ordered the tofu in skewers. It is absolutely a must have. Full of vegs and tofu in a lovely sweet tangy sauce. Also the granola bars are very good. Their rum balls are famous but they ran out by the time we reached. The service is very welcoming. In essence a nice warm place for a relaxed bite or tea/coffee. Don't be in a rush here.
This restaurant has floor tables, low tables, and high tables, a nice collection of books to browse, free WiFi, and delicious food. My favorite dish was the cantonese pan fried noodles. The egg noodles are delicious and fresh, and the veggies were perfect. I got mine with tofu since I'm vegetarian, and even though I'm not a big fan of the stuff, the tofu was actually surprisingly good. The menu is focused on Chinese Cuisine, so if you want to try some local Tibetan food, you might look elsewhere. But I found the food to be quite good! The staff is very nice, and it's in a quieter part of town, which is nice. It's also a great place for expats or wanderers to find like-minded people staying or living in the area.
We had a lovely meal on our first evening at this restaurant. We enjoyed spicy chicken and tofu dishes. We returned on our last evening but the food was very disappointing and extremely bland despite ordering spicy dishes. All three dishes were also very greasy. We had visited on a wednesday evening when only vegetarian food is served, so perhaps they have a different chef.We would have definitely returned if we had not been leaving the next day, just to see if this had just been an 'off' night. In any case, this restaurant has a chilled atmosphere, lovely staff and very good value for money,
Lovely little café off the main road with a nice view. It's a family restaurant and the older man is extremely kind. We lived near by so we came for breakfast almost everyday, we also try it for lunch and dinner. Food was always good. Lots of monks also dine in so it's a nice spot to spent time in. They make great latte and cappuccino! Highly recommend
