Panama Bar - Grill - Bezirk Zuerich

Great place when weather is nice and people jump into the river! The currents are strong, which makes a great spectacle. Panama has a great place in the shade, but close enough to other side of the river, where they sometimes play live music. Limited food options, but all you need for a bite and drinks etc.

Panama The bar opens swimming pool at 9 a.m. along with the Upper Latvian. There is no entrance fee for access to the swimming pool and the bar. The two level structure offers a sunny place on the Limmat to relax and cool over the morning sunbathers and previous climbers go for their daily morning swimming rituals. The Panama Bar Grill offers snacks, sweets, hot/cold drinks, salads, tapas and fish and meat cooked by the grill. I had a hot tea (4CHF) and enjoyed some reading and the view over the lime. They offer toilets, showers and small lockers as part of the bar and swimming pool. Some guests arrived during my visit to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and have a good conversation.

War heute am Eröffnungstag zufällig im Panama. Wollte zuerst eine der lecker ausschauenden Empanadas probieren, doch der Burger lockte und gewann - war lecker :-)Friedliches Mittagessen, gut zubereitet und freundliches Personal. Komme gerne wieder. Die Saison hat ja erst begonnen :-)

Direkt im Bereich des Flussbads Oberer Letten ist die Panama Bar angesiedelt. Der Ort allein ist schon einen Besuch wert. Und die Panama Bar eine tolle Ergänzung. Aber auch ein Besuch nur in der Bar lohnt sich. Die Karte ist zwar klein, bietet aber trotzdem für jeden etwas, die Preise sind für Züricher Verhältnisse sehr moderat (Vorspeise für 5 Franken und Hauptgerichte um die 20 Franken) und das Personal immer sehr freundlich und nie gestresst. Das Publikum ist eher jünger und bunt gemischt. Sehr zu empfehlen ist ein Besuch der Panama Bar an warmen Sommerabenden: das Wasser des Flussbads bietet Kühlung und sollte der Gesprächstoff ausgehen oder man gar alleine sein, bietet das Badepublikum genügend Gesprächstoff und Abwechslung.
