in a magnificent setting, between the dordogne and the city of beynac, this is a good address. service is reproaching, smiling and fast. the food is of quality (even the steacks chopped from the children's menus are homemade) .a very good quality price View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hostellerie Maleville:
excellent meal and especially the tiramisu and the panacotta on the other hand we are outraged by the attitude of the boss who has put down our little server very friendly and professional .... it is a shame to treat the staff so we have abbreviated our meal ... damage and good courage to this young man for the end of season View all feedback.
I was on a local campsite and had no idea that we were so close to Beynac with a selection of restaurants. Because of the weak pound, food is quite expensive. However, the location and menu were irresistible. I went in the middle of September and... even then it was pretty busy, but I managed to get a place outdoor restaurant on the side of the Dordogne. I had the foie grass followed by duck breast in honey. Both were a visual treatment and well cooked. Very recommended.
Visit here for our anniversary, (Day QE2 Died) Relaxing service, good food, great desserts. Dog was also allowed to sit with us (outside).
Unlike most other restaurants, the staff of other restaurants were very happy to check ingredients from dishes. While I would not suggest that this is haute cutin, the food we ordered was very well prepared and presented. Definitely a great place to go for a family... dinner, and as suggested by other reviewers, it has a really cozy feeling down on the river bank.
We ate downstairs by the river. The menu has pizza, burgers etc as well as a choice of salads and local dishes. Service was OK although they were busy. The food was acceptable cafeteria fayre. Kids enjoyed their ice creams. Avoid the local beer, best...stick to Kronenbourg. Prices cheap for the area.
On arrival, as we hadn't booked they struggled to fit us in as there were 7 of us. However quickly seated. We ordered the set menu and everything we had was outstanding. Wine was good and the service was excellent. Went back again for lunch...2 days later. Highly recommend the confit duck.
