It was a sunny day so the doors were wide open and we were looking at a beautiful blue sea. The food was well presented and nicely cooked. Service was slow but polite! The Thai green curry was tasty but ‘not really Thai’ was the comment of the two people who had that. We enjoyed the visit and shall return. View all feedback.
What Pete Ross doesn't like about Brasserie On The Beach At The Cooden Beach:
This restaurant is not a good value for the price. The lamb dish, priced at £27 without any sides, is too expensive. The additional sides cost £4 each. The vegetarian dish, squash with 4 blobs of harissa yogurt, is also overpriced at £18. While the service is friendly, we will not be recommending or returning to this restaurant. View all feedback.
It was really looking forward to our last visit last year, but were very disappointed. the quality of steak was no patch on previous. expensive for a moderate meal. personal was excellent
The brasserie is really good. the position that on the sea, with floor to deck glass is wonderful. the service was excellent, many employees, all very attentive, friendly and efficient. eating was also excellent, great selection and varied menu between imagination and simple, really well prepared and packed with taste. the only negatiw was the room temperature, it was during the cold snap after the end of the sunlight and warm weather and it felt really cool, especially in the bar area. next time, I'll take a card.

I rated the service with only 3 stars. The waitresses were excellent in their actual service, being very helpful and polite. However, we had to wait 20 minutes for our order to be taken and then another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. I have dined here multiple times before, usually at 12 o'clock, and have never experienced such delays in service. Perhaps the timing of 12:30 had something to do with it?
My experience at The Brasserie, which overlooks the sea, was delightful. The food and service were fantastic. I especially loved the Smoked Haddock Duck Scotch Egg starter. The dining areas are spacious and open due to it being in a hotel, which may lack some atmosphere and intimacy. However, the restaurant was busy and lively, making it a great spot to meet friends with convenient on-site parking.
