The best raclette in the canton of Vaud
Our Airbnb host recommended solalex so we made an early dinner reservation on a slow Monday. The setting was beautiful and the food was superb. I wasn't expecting anything special from swiss food and I'd be willing to just pay for the view but it was really really good. We got the cheese cripy pie thing that had potatoes and melted cheese and some pickles (a little sour) on it. Can't say that I've had anything like that before for but it's cheese potatoes so you can't really go wrong. There was no raclette and no beef so we ordered the venison and that was not gamey at all. It was cooked in red wine (I'm guessing), sweet, and flavorful, and even crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It tastes better than any beef I've ever had and I don't eat anything gamey. Amazing. The cornet with the whipped cream I didn't really care for but it made a nice photo. Cards accepted. Service is great, we are grateful that they tolerated our screaming toddlers. Definitely stay for sunset, watching the mountain change color was definitely magical.

Magnificent place nestled in a spectacular setting. Impeccable service, succulent food, traditional and varied menu. A little detour to the cellar is definitely worth it. I highly recommend
