Had the white truffle dinner. Wanted to try before the restaurant changes format (where the entire meal has an ingredient) in 2018. The course is well thought out and prepared. I️ enjoyed the experience. The service is also impeccable! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Maude:
I've been dreaming about visiting this restaurant for two years. I travelled all the way from South Africa and when I finally managed to do it, I was bitterly disappointed. I had the pleasure of eating in beautiful restaurants in my life and, unfortunately, Maude was not one of them. The menu (black truffle month) was tasteless and overpriced. View all feedback.
This was the third or fourth time I've been here over the years. The service was great. I actually like getting up and going to the wine room to have after dinner drinks. Nice to have a change of scenery. We got a bottle of champagne and an after dinner port. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate. With the included 18% tip we spent around $800 for two. The food was fine but I wouldn't say I felt like I got a $400 Micheline Star tasting menu. There was no meat dish, but three or four deserts? It just wasn't at that level, and I've dined at many Micheline Star restaurants. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Five stars aren't enough to capture the exquisite experience at Maude. The tasting menu was a culinary journey that tantalized the taste buds at every turn. The limited seating made the atmosphere feel incredibly intimate and special, as if we were part of an exclusive club. But what set Maude apart was the innovative touch of serving dessert in a completely different area. This not only reset our palate but also reignited our sense of excitement and adventure for the meal. From start to finish, dining at Maude was nothing short of magical. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly extraordinary dining experience. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sadly, the Maude of yesteryear is no more. When it opened, the restaurant was innovative and fresh. I remember thinking it served the best meal I had ever eaten. That was when there was a rotating menu dedicated to a different region every few months. I'm sure it was a ton of work for the staff, but the effort was richly rewarded. The current iteration of Maude is more like a poor man's French Laundry: The standard wine pairing features wine that are barely escaping the 7-11 chilled section. They've dropped the protein courses in favor of endless desserts and overly sweet wines. The staff and the vibe of the restaurant are still amazing and top notch; the menu not so much. This is not worth the $500 per person you will end up spending. Really sad to see this once great restaurant fall back to earth Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
