Amazing!! The fish here is SO fresh. Everything I got was great quality. I got scallop, blue crab, spicy tuna, salmon, and albacore. The rice was perfectly made and seasoned. The fish to rice ratio was perfect, a lot of places struggle with this, but every piece of maki here was on point! Pickup order was easy through Yelp, and they were perfectly on time. Three names for one spot that sells the same exact menu. Walk-in for pick up and it 's a wannabe deli for some-town USA . On display are bags of chips from all over the place. Confusing AF. You 're like, am I in the right place? Need I say more...? Yeah, okay. The sushi? Utterly tasteless. Great sushi restaurant in LA and I've been to a few of them. Great service and sushi is fresh. Ill be going here once or twice a week!
I have to say. I was reluctant at first to come to Hamachi Sushi. I have my go to Sushi restaurant. It almost felt like I was cheating on my girlfriend. But after the meal I just experienced I have broken up with my old sushi restaurant and will be dating Hamachi for a very long time. The reason is simple, the fish may have been some of the freshest and well prepared I have ever tasted. I listened to my server and tried the spicy tuna soy paper, the lobster soy paper and the toro. I never had soy paper on my sushi before and I have really been missing out. It's the perfect element that adds to the consistency and flavor to a roll. The spicy tuna was prepared perfectly and when I made a request for extra spicy they were happy to oblige. As for the Lobster. WOW! It will be ordered every time. Ive saved the Toro for last. I am a Toro snob. If its not fresh or cut properly its really a waste. From the first bite, I knew this was some of the best Toro I have ever had. Thank you Hamachi for the amazing food, service and experience. You have a new loyal customer. My old restaurant will be upset but I've moved on to a better relationship with you!
This place is extremely suspicious...it goes by about 6 different names on all food delivery apps. It is absolutely not fresh or authentic. Absolutely a waste of money. It feels like they but yesterday's Ralph's sushi and repack it. Also all of its other names are reviewed by the same people...I guarantee they're fake. This is a scam. Not to mention it's a vinyl sign hanging on the side of a building...seems like someone is taking advantage of the new era of delivery and takeout. I'm disappointed and will never return. Grocery store sushi is far better.
What a joke! This is the $24 set. Which is the biggest one. Also charged an extra dollar for blue crab. Each one is smaller than a quarter. Most of the fish wasn't fresh. Smallest rolls ive ever seen. $25 plus tax uber fees and delivery. When you send this to a customer. Do you really think they'll ever order from you again???
This is my new favorite spot for take out sushi!! The fish is super simple, fresh and great quality. Highly recommend the box with spicy tuna, and their take on a CA roll with salmon. Lobster roll was tasty too. Great prices. Can't wait for more!
