Driving down Hempstead Tpke and we stumbled upon the Embassy Diner when we saw the American flags and the packed parking lot. From the moment we walked in the owners Gus and Billy treated us like family. The waitstaff was very attentive and the meals came out quickly. For starters I had the most amazing teriyaki clams and my husband had French onion soup(also delicious)!! My husband ordered the late night burger and it was cooked perfectly. I had broiled scallops and shrimp served on a bed of veggies that rivaled any seafood restaurant I’ve been to. We split the apple pie ala mode for dessert because we were both too stuffed to order our own. I’m so glad those American flags caught my attention because we will definitely be going back!!
The transformation is real! I went to the Okinee diner 5 years ago. I came back and was told they bought over the Embassy Diner so we came here. Here is what you need to know: 1 super patriotic place supporting America with tons of flags and pictures of first responders all over the establishment 2 the food is fresh and fast and the quality is worth the money 3 they support local businesses and they know their customers. Multiple people came in and knew the workers and owner by name. The owner is very personable. This is THE diner to visit if you want a real experience with great food! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options they can make for customers
I stop in for breakfast very Saturday morning. Waiter forgot my utensils twice. Couldn't find him and got up and got them myself. Waiter busy talking with other employees. When I need a refill of coffee, I see him focused on his smart phone. Food is okay, service sucks.
Was there last Saturday food was bad had to send it back… service was horrible.. very overpriced and pushed us out right after because they needed the table. Not going back there.
Went there for breakfast and when the check came two of the four items were priced for more than the menu stated by $9 dollars. When I told the waiter he changed it to $7 over the menu price. The people I was with did not want me to make a big fuss over it so I went to pay. When I mentioned it to the cashier she stated that the prices are more on Sundays and told me to have a nice day. I will never go there again and if you do check the prices before you pay.
