I am not one to write review as I am usually the one who can’t find anything she likes! First off, I can NOT eat spicy foods—— I pitch a fit when they put pepper in my food- I have no problem eating there, I simply love la Lupita. I used to get the beef sopas minus the green sauce =amazing! The salsa is a thicker sweet one which I obv love, and the portions are more than generous for the small cost. If you go there e... What User doesn't like about La Lupita:
The service was terrible. The food looked and tasted like a housekeeping project and my step son was served chickens that were undercooked. When they brought him a new dish, the chicken tasted like it was eating all day. They charged us for both plates. View all feedback.
Right off the Lehigh campus this place has become an institution and I 've visited many times over the years when, as an alumnus, I visit my Alma mater The food is great and the service speedy. Special orders for vegan-izing a dish... no problem. Large open dining room adds to conviviality (and noise level).
Oh my! Homemade menudo hit the spot on a wintery day! Ordered chicken tamale and it came with some of the best mole I've ever had! This family owned restaurant is a must try!
I normally don 't write reviews unless my experience was extremely positive or extremely negative. Unfortunately La Lupita was a big disappointment as I was recommended by a co-worker. When I came in, I was met with nasty glares instead of a warm welcome by the two young servers almost as if I didn 't belong there. An older white couple came in after me and were greeted warmly and had there orders taken right away while I had to wait over 5 mins just for lemon for my water. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and wings to start. The soup was more like chicken soup that they added tortillas on top of. If they ran out of the tortilla soup, it would have been better to just let me know instead of bringing that out. I 'm a big Mexican foodie so I definitely know the difference. The wings were Luke warm when they came out as if they 'd been sitting there for a while. I then ordered a quesadilla but asked for peppers, jalapeños, and onions in the quesadilla my server made it a point to nastily point out that it 's going to be extra as if I couldn 't afford it. I was charged extra and only had peppers in my quesadilla. I asked for a box to take my food and the waitress drops off the check and proceeds to go eat with her coworkers instead of processing my payment. I had to have another waitress do it. I definitely felt the negative vibes towards me being that I 'm a young black female meanwhile the white customers were treated with a lot more respect and positivity. I still paid and tipped because of my etiquette but this is the first and last time la lupita will get my business nor any of my close contacts business. I hope that going forward your staff learns to treat every customer equally instead of passing prior judgement.
What a wonderful place for Mexican on the southside of Bethlehem...My guest and I had the MEXICAN FLAG entree...3 enchiladas, beef chicken and cheese with refried beans...as alway it was SOOOO tasty and great salsa and chips to get you ready for the entree...our server was so pleasant....dinner with non alcohol drinks came to $33 minus the tip (20% is my usual when food service warrent) Will return again...many times !!!
They had very good food and the service was great. The supreme tacos were bomb. I recommend this for everyone who wants to enjoy a good meal. I'll definitely be back.
