Pie - Bethany Beach
Pie
Description
Nestled in Bethany Beach, this restaurant offers a mixed dining experience that keeps diners coming back for the delicious pizzas but leaves them questioning the service. While patrons rave about their flavorful pies and unique choices, complaints arise regarding long wait times, lack of proper dining utensils, and inconsistent service. Observations about the bruschetta and pizza dough being less than ideal add to the disappointment. Despite these issues, the casual vibe and friendly staff shine, making it a spot worth visiting, albeit with some reservations about consistency and service. Overall, it’s a charming eatery with potential for improvement.

Additionally, when we sat down, only tiny bread and butter plates were provided. When we asked for dinner plates to make it easier to eat our meal, we were told that none were available, not even salad plates. The lack of proper plates was not addressed in a courteous manner, but rather in a matter-of-fact, take it or leave it attitude. We also noticed that the pizzas were served on long, rectangular plates and asked if we could have some extras for our meal, but were told they were only for serving pizzas. Even though it was close to closing time and the restaurant was nearly empty, we were still denied the extra plates. Overall, we enjoyed the pizza but were disappointed with the service and lack of accommodation. At this point, we are unsure if we will return. This restaurant offers the best pizza and meatballs. The food is incredibly fresh and well-prepared, with a fabulous variety of pizzas to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant for a dine-in dinner experience. Their service, food quality, and atmosphere all receive top ratings of 5 out of 5.
We ordered margherita, and goat cheese, and artichoke pizza. I would say the goat cheese was slightly better. The ricotta and chocolate pie was really good! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Pizzas were great. Biggest hit was the roasted eggplant pizza. Margarita also very good. Pizzas are big enough for two to share. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
