Delicious. I have been visiting Jim's since I can remember, and have never had a bad experience. Great omelets, french toast, and biscuits and gravy. I used to think they only served good breakfast, but recently tried one of their burgers for lunch. It was fantastic. Much better than I expected. There is a reason this place is always packed on the weekends. Give it a try. View all feedback.
Had breakfast with my dad. This place has been here since the 1960s. They have recently overtaken the interior and exterior, but their menu has remained practically the same. You serve affordable breakfast here, which was a surprise compared to other places I was in town. My father and I ate for $13, less tip. My orser was misused, but it was not worth consciously makimg (biscuits amd gravy, instead of toast). Service was fast, flirty and fun. The restaurant appeared clean and tidy. I'm back.
The charm and warmth of a traditional town dinner along Route 66. The food is what you expect at any Americana style dinner and the service is ok. Some recommendations: Jim's breakfast items are fantastic, the fried green tomatoes are for dying, and their taco salad is great!
So we wanted to try something else for dinner. I've seen Jim at his new location for several months, so we went there. There were not many males inside, just a few families and couples. We found the menu to be very extensive (can be too extensive - in the Biz restaurant there is something like too big menu), but we were happy to find BLD options all day. I had a steak omelet, while the rest of my party ordered a cheeseburger, chicken fried chicken and another omelet with pancakes. We were told by our waitress that the kitchen had a bad communication with her and that they were from several things - no baked potatoes, no geese, no apple cake. That was fine, but I had ordered greetings and was not informed that they were out at the order or even a few minutes after that. I figured out when a plate came on the table. We don't have Grips anymore. When I was hoping that the diner really felt with coffee and cake, I decided it was the way to save the night. No cream cake! We chose a piece of carrot cake. The coffee was good, the cake was decent, a little dry and cold. The omelet was good- the steak was tender, but some bites were very bland while others spiced. I salt my food in restaurants, but decided it needed a bit of salt and pepper at the table. All the others seemed to think that their dinner was good. But no complaints. What we liked most was the service. Our waitress was very hospitable, talkative, friendly and attentive. I'd go back, just for her!
You have roasted green tomatoes! You were pretty good! The food was good, on the level with a good diner restaurant. Breakfast is served all day. My ham and cheese sourdough sandwich was good. I'm sad I didn't try the delicious looking cake, I was too full... But I definitely go back!
Pie. Get the pie. Beyond the regular meals this is a great place to come for pie after your event or to wrap up your evening. They have a display case full to choose from.
