I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant. I ordered a chicken chimichanga, which was quite standard, but my husband opted for the beef chimichanga, and it was delicious – the shredded beef was incredibly tasty, reminiscent of good taco meat. What Spencer Shipman doesn't like about Los Sombreros Mexican:
I ordered the guacamole salad, which was essentially just wilted lettuce in a watery green dressing. For $4, I thought it was a reasonable price until I realized it was mostly just liquid with some lettuce and tomato that I had to chop up myself. There was no flavor whatsoever, and I ended up discarding it.

Very surprised! We were passing through and google map searched and didn’t have high hopes. This place isn’t much to look at, especially from the outside, but our food was fantastic! For reference, we eat out Mexican more than anything, and we love authentic Mexican food but are down for the American tacos etc. too. The free salsa was actually excellent! We asked for salsa picosa and received three to try. The creamy green once was excellent, and the habanero was good too. My hubby’s American style taco was VERY good, the meat was perfect! We’d have ordered just these had we known, but his Chile poblano had the same meat and this part of his dish was delicious. The tamale wasn’t anything to write home about, but my shredded beef flautas were yummy. Even the beans and rice were flavored very well!
