Ruby - Besiktas

They wanted a staggering 1400 TL at the entrance to let me in on a Saturday night because I went alone and the security said they only allow couples or groups inside. They said they can only let me in if I pay an entrance of 50 USD (1300 TL). I gave them 1400 no change and no receipt. I don’t know if the owners know about this or if it’s just a hustle among the security guards, but in any case it’s disgraceful. Besides this the club has a nice atmosphere and good music, the sour taste in my mouth started with me getting inside. This was last night.

Went for drinks with my friends to the lounge not the restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and music. We didn’t have food. Good service, but they will try to make you buy a bottle which I don’t know why. If you want a table outside you need to spend more. We only got a standing table inside. Ask for the minimum spend for your table. If you want a table outside with seating, prepare yourself to spend a fortune. We had a nice evening there. The view was great by the sea. I enjoyed watching the boats passing by. The vibes of the people along with the music were the best. Call and book before you go. Make sure to take your ID with you in case they asked.

Yachts pull up with new arrivals. The views are perfect. The music is perfect. The service was exceptional. We were the only Americans there but felt totally comfortable and had a blast. Uber was easy in the morning to head home.

Ruby On The River. Great food, vibes, atmosphere, music, and views. Not sure what the complaints are about but the experience was excellent. And for us it was a party of 13. Grilled Salmon, Mushroom Risssoto, Turffle Linguini, with a carefully crafted Old Fashioned to wash it down.

I highly recommend trying Ruby Restaurant in Istanbul. It's a wonderful hidden gem with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
