Barbaros Hayrettin Pasa is one of the greatest people of our Ummah. Despite all his victories, he was humble enough to create a union with Ottoman empire's young sultan Suleiman Kanuni (The Magnificent) which helped our Ummah a lot. May Allah be pleased with him!

He is the inspirational character for Barbossa or Barbarossa or The Red Beard , the nickname is gained because he controll all of Mediteranean Sea in the times of Kanuni Sultan Suleyman, the highest age of Ottoman Caliphate

Impressive statue but I could not find any information at the statue. Would be good to put a plaque or story-board at such statues for tourists.
