Rachel's Cafe Deli - Berwyn

It would be appreciated if the management would update the prices on the menu board. Customers may come in expecting one price, only to find they are actually higher.

I have been slow to try it, but the sandwiches at this place in Berwyn are the best in town, as far as I know. The owners are quirky and charming. I will definitely be craving these sandwiches from time to time. The bread had a nice crunch, and the mayo was not as heavy as at Mr. Submarine (not that I mind lots of mayo, I love it at Mr. Submarine). Don't be a stranger and come try these sandwiches for yourself. They taste like something your father or older brother would make if your mom wasn't around.

The staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting. I had been wanting to try this place since it opened. Upon entering, it appeared empty at first glance but seemed decent overall. I was suggested to try the Italian sub, and was told that the meatball subs were delicious and homemade. I decided to order the meatball sub. The price was reasonable. When I got home and unwrapped the sub, it looked appetizing and large so I decided to cut a meatball in half. Unfortunately, both meatballs in the middle were still raw. I attempted to at least taste the sauce, but found that even the bread was very stale and the sauce was just okay. Sadly, I was not impressed.

The veggie subs paninis are tasty as are the minestrone soup pizza. The staff is pleasant and the pricing is reasonable.
