We used to drive all the way to Lygon Street in Carlton just for pizza, but we found that Bruno's was better than any we have had before. The food, from the garlic cheesy bread with the delicious tomato dip to the pizzas and arancini balls, is a must-try. The seating is limited, ranging from four-seat tables to large share tables that can accommodate approximately 12 people, allowing you to enjoy fresh food straight from the kitchen. The menu also offers a variety of pastas and more. The owners and staff are fantastic and always strive to serve customers quickly as soon as they enter. As the main focus is on takeaways, there may be a wait at times due to many people ordering for pick-up. I recommend calling ahead for a seat if you want to dine in, or if you walk in, be patient as it is definitely worth it.

While there may be a bit of a wait when ordering in-store, they are planning to upgrade their pizza oven to speed up service. The staff is friendly and many are family members of the original owner of the shop.

The... read more I have to admit that I had given up on eating pizza because I couldn't find a good one in the area, but then Brunos opened and reignited my love for pizza. The atmosphere of this place is fantastic - young, vibrant, and enthusiastic about what they do. They take customer service very seriously, making you feel like you are their top priority and using your name like an old friend. Their pizzas are incredible - no grease, fresh ingredients and herbs, a variety of bases, and even a gluten-free option. While their pizzas may be pricier than others, the taste makes it worth every penny. What sets Brunos apart is their consistent service and quality, regardless of who is working. These guys truly deserve recognition for their attention to detail and phenomenal pizzas. Amazing job, guys.

So basically the place is pricey, but (and its a big but) you are getting a Pizza that is pretty much out of this world. For example I was waiting for my take away order of a family size marinara pizza with anchovies with my son to a packed house of customers waiting for their order. I was on my phone and put my head up to see what others were doing. I can tell you now that everyone was fixated on what the front of house were doing. Never in any other cheap pizza joint have I ever seen people fixated on one centralised point. Why? Well basically its the service and the attention to detail with the freshest of ingredients used, and everything pretty much hand made that draws one to basically watch what is going on. The use of herbs, and good quality olive oil, the throwing of the dough. Simply put it is a credit and a feast to watch. The restaurant which is small and has very limited space for seating large crowds is well worth the wait even for Takeaway. I live in Hallam and I am really proud of the Guys who run this place. They treat you like no other takeaway joint I have ever been to. This is a truly a hidden gem of a place and I hope its here for the long run. Well done for the owners who run it. There moto is if you don't walk out of the place happy then they are not happy and will go out of there way to cater for you. Not that I in the short time I have frequented the place have ever witnessed anyone leave without a smile on there faces. A sensational place but expect it to be packed.

The staff are friendly and the pizza is delicious with a thin crispy base and just the right amount of toppings. We will definitely be back for more. There is a large table (would seat approx 10-15 people I think) if you want to eat it there, but we had it as take away .
