When we travel, we always try to find a good local bakery and quite often we will find something we really like. Berry Woodfired Sourdough has been on our list for some time and we were happy that we stopped for a visit. Located in a holiday home in the quiet green back roads of Berry, it is a rustic historical place that is in line with its heritage. It's a good sign of what's behind the doors. Enter a large area and the visual receptors are in overdrive. Where can you see first? It is breakfast time and there are many things that strive for attention! At first we are pulled to the counter for the baked treats, then the bread shelf and then come over something that is the heart of this facility, the wood fired oven, which is poured and very ordained with an old industrial charm. The room is rustic in its interior, including restored interior, the Teal coffee machine, wooden tables and floor coverings. We sit inside, there are also some seats on the closed veranda for smaller groups. The view of the menu only creates a problem, the question of what to order? So many of the articles appeal to order enough. It is put in place to make the decision. Order the hearty and delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs with house made Kimchi and Chipolatas. Once you have finished breakfast, it is not possible to leave without buying some of their European inspired bakery products, with a number of tarts including Macadamia, plums and custard, raspberry and almonds, pears and chocolate. There are also hearty options; Sausage rolls, hearty Muffins quiche and we had to take some of these wood-fired sourdough home. Berry Woodfired Sourdough is a must to visit when in the Shoalhaven area, it is worth planning a ride for this alone, let alone all the other attractions in the area.
Large café specializing in sourdough. Few dishes and most have bread, but great for brunch. Really busy during the weekend good service and hidden away location where parking is easy. Near the city centre. Remove options from loads and pastries.
Today my mother and I enjoyed breakfast at Berry Sourdough Cafe. It is hands down the best place to go to breakfast or lunch in Berry! Food, coffee and service was 10/10. Very recommended!!!!
Fantastic rustic café with some modern takes on traditional favorites, a wide selection of pastries and treats and delicious hot drinks. On the photos you can find your menu: breakfast, lunch drinks and alcoholic drinks. Meals we had lamb and pinenut cream roll, braided eggs and soldiers and local mushrooms with ricotta on sourdough with extra scrambled eggs
Great little Cafe. Great service and although very busy the food came out within a reasonable time. Ingredients clearly of good wholesome quality and the espresso coffee was good (not burnt like some cafes). It was impressive how busy the Cafe is being in a regional area, so clearly has a good name attracting customers from far away. Acoustics could be better however, due to the hard surfaces making conversation a little difficult when crowded. Otherwise perfect, except for the acoustics.
