I went there with a friend for a dinner as it looks like a traditional German place with low prices. But The quality was low too. The potatoes were cold and the meat was heated on the microwave. We took also two glasses of wine...More View all feedback.
Sunday trip to the Mosel. The visit of the planned rehabilitation clinic for my husband on the Kueser Plateu stood. And a trip to the Moselle is really better than cleaning windows at home. We caught the sale Sunday. We avoid these events successfully. Gastronomy of course excluded. After the clinic on the Kueser side we crossed the Mosel Bridge to Bernkastel on foot. In our favorite restaurant on the Mosel we had to reserve a table for a few hours before our surprise. That's why we wanted to survive and had to put in a little time. In the pedestrian zone there is a good offer of different restaurants, wine bars and snacks. We left and a few steps later it was already much quieter. We often saw at the Grabenschenke the neatly labeled slate tables with current dishes. Among them are the foil potatoes with herbal cucumber. That's right! No fast food. The weather was pleasantly warm and we still found a free table in the covered outdoor area. Simple and well maintained clean seating. The tables were wiped out after each guest. A young employee kindly welcomed us a little later. Our order was already fixed: 2 x the foil potato with herbal cucumber € 5,90. Add a Rieslingschorle, 0.25 l € 2.60 and a dry Grauburgunder, 0.2 l € 4.80. Both of the winery Stellter sons in Lieser. Good choice. The arcuate overvoltage of the seating area should still be disbursed. Shortly after serving the food there was a small rain shower, but we sat in dry. A large potato, well cooked, was served. The herbal cucumber creamy. Good, but discreet. Fresh herbs on top and a small salad set. That's right for our purpose. Furnace potato with herbal cucumber Only the superfluous aluminum foil should be really dispensed with in favor of the environment. The potato was not cooked in the foil. And an oven potato can't be sold worse. After our survival-important little meal we paid at the friendly service. As it turned out, the side job of the daughter of the owner and cook. There was a very nice chat to say goodbye. Our recommendation, despite “only” potato. Unfortunately, I missed seeing the restaurant from the inside. Next Ma(h)l!

I had a first tonight, it is the first time in any proper sit down restaurant that I have been to anywhere in the world that does not have a dessert menu! This is the land of the Apfel strudel and they can't even do that or provide some ice cream? And they don't take credit cards, cash only, but most places here do not take cards. Other than that our only course was very good and the young lady was very friendly and chatty and the service was excellent and what we had was good value. We went to Da Marco for pudding and more wine!

We arrived there on a Saturday evening at third and had a complete space in the upper floor for us - through the location of the restaurant it was not crowded with a running customer and we could enjoy the view into the old town unadjusted. so our orders were fast at the table and the service was very accommodating. it tasted excellent - both vegetarian and omnivor! the portions were saturating and the wine glasses were also very generously filled. for three people we did not exceed 50 € with main courses, drinks and wine incl. drinking money. all in all an excellent restaurant experience, just at a weekend and at the best time around 20 o'clock. we could not reserve earlier on the day, as it showed, but it was not necessary.
