You know you are in a good, authentic place when the food literally transports you to your grandmother's house when you were a child. The black bean soup had this fantastic combination of ingredients that I have not found anywhere but in my grandma's kitchen. That soup, by itself, was worth the trip. The sword fish appetizer was very good and the pisco sour was fantastic (I know, pisco sour is not Mexican, but in any... View all feedback.
What Jakob Macejkovic doesn't like about Osteria Morini - New Jersey:
Best chopped salad we have ever had. Shared by 2 and still couldn’t finish. Chicken parm always reliable, tender and just the right amount of pasta. Truffle pasta still our favorite. Was not a busy night, waited 10 min to be seated and service is just slow. Slow getting a drink. Will go back for the food. View all feedback.
We were so disappointed with our meal times. we have densed many times before and always loved eating. the calamari was chewing and we sent her back, but it was still on the bill. the pasta was much understated. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday, but I'm sad that one of our favorite restaurants was so bad.
Excellent spaghetti pomodoro, with a burrata top is just the perfect combination
Can’t really complain about our waiter as he was doing his best but we have been coming here for years there is always something odd w the service it’s like the bar tender/ hostess/ waiter does everything so sometimes the service is good sometimes is not. The food is decent chopped salad really good. They redesigned it inside didn’t really help there is something off about this place not cozy and the lighting is weird. It is spaced out well though. The old couple next to use clearly drank to much and was coughing all over and being obnoxious. Waiter should of stopped the drinks. We will go back in another 6 months.
The food is quite spectacular. Really high-quality Italian food and not your typical Jersey Italian . Due to Covid, the menu is somewhat limited, but certainly, plenty to choose from. Pasta is homemade, really excellent. Full bar, great wine list. The only thing we can 't figure out is the vibe . This restaurant has been through multiple versions over the last few years. Each time, the re-decorating gets worse and more boring. It used to be more elevated, white cloths and had an upscale feel. At the moment, it 's really suffering from little style. Ignore the vibe and go for the food.
Fantastic short rib with potato’s Signature branzino always delicious
