Asked for a poppy bagel with veggie cream cheese. After clerk grabbed the bagel, but before applying any cream cheese, I said, Can I switch that to sundried tomato cream cheese? Same bagel, different spread. Minutes later: That 'll be $8.50. What? Yeah, two poppy bagels, one with veggie and one with sundried tomato. No, I asked to change the cream cheese. Amazing gluten-free bagels and sandwiches! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You have a special preparation room for gluten-free bagels. They also make all their spreads in the house.
These are simply the best bagels to be found anywhere. They are made the traditional way and so have firm crunch on the outside, but great flavor inside. Plus the staff is friendly, professional, and deeply bound to the civic activities of the Bernardsville community. The perfect local business.
Ever since I was in HS this has been my favorite bagel place… And 20 years later I still drive out of my way to get a bagel here. In my opinion. No one can compete with their recipe.
