Worth a stop! Take your time when you enjoy beer or mixed drinks and watch everything in the bar. It is practically a museum as there are so many memories, photos and things to look at. Family owned. View all feedback.
Located in Bernalillo, New Mexico, on pre-1937 Route 66, is the bar known as "Silva's Saloon" (RAB Bar 547 of 2017). Bartender Denise is a favorite of "Run A Way Bill" patrons. The family-owned business has been serving customers since 1933, with patrons enjoying beers while admiring the historic Route 66 road right outside. The bar's walls are adorned with hundreds of memories, including the hats of customers who have frequented the establishment over the years. At 85 years old, Felix still oversees the bar, with his daughter helping to keep things running smoothly. "Silva's Saloon" has also been featured in several films for its classic bar scenes. Don't miss out on a visit to this iconic establishment while on the World's Longest Bar Crawl! #RunAwayBill #DUSA2017 #WorldsLongestBarCrawl #666BarsUSA #Route66RunAwayBill #Route66 11.15.17

Silva's Saloon is a unique piece of New Mexico history and culture. It is half saloon, half time machine, boasting accolades such as owning the first commercial liquor license in the state and serving as the backdrop for several film productions. In my opinion, it is the ultimate destination for an authentic Route 66 desert biker bar atmosphere. A visit here is a must, especially in the afternoons on weekdays.
Awesome old time saloon. No frills not a family environment. Sit up to the bar after a nice ride on the motorcycle and throw back a few with your friends! Cash only though!
Silva's is like walking back in time a bar like no other! So many things to look at, so many stories about the past! It's a must see place! Still ran by the family. Felix Silva and son Felix Silva Jr. His Dad Felix Silva opened every day until his death. And if your hungry you can walk next door to the Range cafe. Wonderful food and who knows you might see someone famous!
