This is great little place that is very popular so advise you to make a reservation. The owner is very friendly and comes to great every customer personally, nice touch. It’s quite small inside but if the weather is good they have several tables outside View all feedback.
What Florida Friesen doesn't like about Ya-Man:
supernette hostess - but eating was not really exotic or an inspiring taste experience. mainly rice and salat, then a few roots and bananas - and that for the price of 12€. I can't write positiw about the waiting period. We were expecting more! View all feedback.
Service is really good. Food is worth the price. If you are looking for typical Jamaican food, this is the right place. Their business is quite small, so I..
A friend of a friend told me about this place as we were at Eschenbräu Friday night. I was greeted warmly with a you're welcome. There was only one meal..
Awesome carribean soulfood !! Cozy little place run by a very sweet lady. I absolutely love this place and already revisited with friends several times!! She also knows how to make the best homemade cocktails. Virgin Colada or Pineapple Colada is my favourite. Original carribean...rum available
I went to the restaurant last night with a Jamaican friend, but it wasn't a date we're just friends. Anyway, this was my first time trying Jamaican food in a restaurant and I LOVED IT. We tried out Ya Man specifically due to its good...reviews and the fact that the other Jamaican places he's been to in Berlin were overpriced and too tailored to the krauts. The fried plantain was so good I had it twice, and the jerk chicken though a little mild was imbued with a mouthwatering spectrum of flavours that were more present in the absence of overpowering heat. The meat was also cooked to perfection it was soft and moist, and no that's not a euphemism. I think this restaurant should sell their jerk sauce on the side as I for one would use it by the gallon. FÜCKlNG UNREAL MATE! I can say with honesty that it was hands down the best meal I've had in months, and I've been eating in loads of restaurants recently as I'm too lazy to cook. The German restaurant scene is pretty p!ss poor when it comes to quality, so some places deserve to go bankrupt in my opinion, but this place is a true gem and my Jamaican friend and I will definitely be going back, as the food is fücking good and I would love to see him again as he's very handsome and it was a magical evening
First the good thing: the food absolutely delicious! Now the not so good things: This place is tiny, be sure to make a reservation. Even with a reservation you will probably have to wait because the organisation seems chaotic: three times people...with reservations were sent around the block because their table wasn't free. There are too many tables and chairs stuffed into the place for us to feel comfortable: be ready to either get brushed constantly by waiter and people squeezing by, or having to share a table in close space with strangers. You have to wait a long time for your bill, since owner, cook and cashier are one person. The waiter doesn't take your money. Then you will be asked what you had since apparently they don't keep track of orders. When we honestly mentioned this to the owner, we were brushed off with pah, in Jamaica everything is close quarters. Not a service oriented reaction to constructive criticism. So if you are into close quarter socializing with strangers, this is your place. If you want to have a quiet romantic dinner with some personal space like we did, go somewhere else
