If they are looking for a well-stocked wine cellar where the expert gets them as if they were sunk for a friendly visit, more intentionally discover what exactly they are looking for, than when selling a product (in consideration of the quality of the products, it happens anyway), a possibility to meet inspiring winzers at themed events, they find it here.
Visited Berlin during the summer with friends and had the pleasure of stopping in at Weinplatz. The four of us are from California and appreciate lovely wines. Turns out, the owner of Weinplatz, Jaclyn is also from California and has a passion for wine, spirits...AND Berlin. The shop and wine bar is a delightful locals only gem in the middle of a hipster neighborhood. A very casual atmosphere we sipped on a flight while chatting with Jaclyn about how she chooses the wine for her shop. The shop itself is small and the selection is limited but well curated.
