What User doesn't like about Shakespeare and Sons:
When Hipster's bar goes to far. Staff is lazy and unprofessional (they do not serve to tables, you have to order at the desk and wait there for quite some time (15min in our case although 3 waiters were working), also everything on the menu in overpriced (for coffee and a biscut 7e), also only one toilet is available which was not very hygienic. Probably the best vegan cream cheese with bagel I've ever had. the bagel was so fucking fresh and the cream cheese should die. mix them in the atmosphere of the vibey bookstore, friendly staff and great coffee they cannot fail! also had a crazy chocolate cookie that melted in my mouth, heaven.!
I am always happy to find good bagels in Germany. I also love good coffee and book stores, so this place has become one of my favorite in berlin. the vegan cream cheese is a bit expensive, but really good. there is also a vegan chocolate cookie. the caffe also offers space to sit and work. the service was also great.
They have a few vegan bagel options (more veggie) and they are very good. A bit under-seasoned, but very generous size. The coffee is really really good and there are a few vegan sweets too. The bagels are a bit expensive and I've have mixed experience with the staff. The bookshop itself is charming and there is a section for social justice, political theory, and some vegan books too.
These bagels are the best you're probably going to get in Germany. It gets super busy in the mornings so be prepared to wait in line. Vegan Tofutti cream cheese is available. If they run out of tofutti, I recommend the hummus. Love the everything bagel and salt n' peppa bagel.
Very tasty bagels. version with avocado and hummus was great what a pitty that this place is not fully vegan
