Ordered a takeaway from this place last week and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of burger. While there are no shortage of options for a decent burger, Schiller gets the thumbs up from me and would definitely recommend. The only downside is the lack of seating (one table inside and two outside) but give it a try - you won't be disappointed! What Boris Merz doesn't like about Schiller Burger Prenzlauer Berg:
My first choice was a mushroom burger, unfortunately they were out of mushrooms. Second choice was bluecheese. When I got my burger there was a tiny piece of blue cheese on the burger patty covering only half of the meat. This I paid 1.50 for?! They also put tomato in the burger when I asked them not to do that. The sweet potato fries were mediocre. My friend got a vegan burger that he said was horrible. View all feedback.
I was at Schiller burger in the afternoon. The was no queue and we got served very fast. The burger was a good one and the fries were also good. They have a nice variaty of sauces you can add to your meals. We were...sitting outside on the bench and enjoyed our meal. You can access with public transport.
Every new city I visit, I read as much as possible to find and then sample the top rated burgers. In Berlin, I tried three different establishments (two of them present in a variety of top ten lists) and Schiller Burger was my favorite. Burgers in Berlin...did not lack for creative toppings and nice presentations, but I was always disappointed by the quality of the patty itself. Schiller Burger had by far the best patty. I was well seasoned and did not have that plasticky texture I found in all the other ones. It's a shame that this is one of the best burgers Berlin has to offer. I expected more from a city with so many burger restaurants and international clientele. Some things to consider when eating burgers in Berlin (found this to be true at all joints I visited): You usually have to order inside (at the counter) and then pick your burger up Price of the burger does not include ketchup or other dressings (only what the cook adds). If you want extra ketchup, mayo, or anything else, you have to order and pay for it. Fries are separate. Almost any German lager offered will be great with your burger.
