Contribute Feedback What Selma Hauser doesn't like about Restaurant Quarré:
We visited the restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not meet the requirements and standards of Hotel Adlon. The service was uncoordinated and partly overwhelmed. The food was average and took too long despite normal utilisation. It is positive to mention that consideration has been given to food intolerances. View all feedback.
I usually don't make any negative reviews, but I think I must share my experience with quarre. first, let me share the good! excellent staff and service, they can see that they take care of a beautiful culinary experience. the ambiente is beautiful in the...Shadow of the brandenburger tores. Unfortunately, there were some serious problems that have ruined our jubilee dinner. we started the evening by ordering a few cocktails to celebrate our night. she had the cognac that was great, but I ordered grey goose and soda. unknown for me they charge separately for the spirit and separately for the mixer, which leads to a over $23 Euro charge! I wish they had said something like I had ordered something else, like a beautiful glass wee. then I ordered the surf and turf. this is not actually a surf and turf, but a lobster soup with a single ravioli in the center and then a steak. the suppe was so salty that it was unpredictable. I asked her to restore it. when it came back, it was just as salty, but I was so hungry until then I just ate it. it was so long since we had ordered, and my wife had already eaten her cures. again the staff was very apologetic and said the cook agreed to it be too salty. if that was true, why was the second so salty? they returned and said the suppe was better now, but it was certainly not, but I did not argue because I did not want to ruin our special night. they offered us a free desert in depreciation, but the cream brule came cold, it was at this time I discovered the additional fees of over $6 for each soda used in my cocktail. what a frustrating experience. I knew this would be an elegant evening meal, but I felt exploited. instead of complaining and ruining our jubilee, I paid the bill and went. there are many great restaurants in berlin, I go somewhere else when I am back in Germany.
A wonderful lunch in this beautiful and stylish restaurant in the adlon hotel. there was no problem accepting my canadian Covid vaccination pass, even if it cannot be scanned because the QR code is not readable. I had the consommé, the white scavenger, and the plumen crumble. all the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. large portions for a plentiful and satisfying meal. the decor is classic, comfortable and elegant and the service was friendly and professional. splurgen when they are looking for a good lunch in a beautiful and refined environment with a look at the brandenburger tor. without price!
We had booked a lunch at the restaurant quarré and were looking forward to our visit to the very well-known hotel adlon. Not to know that the German shops are closed on Sundays that canceled our morning plans we called the restaurant to move our...booking forward. incapable of reaching the restaurant, the hotel service promised us a call back to make our booking new, a call that never happened. undeterred we arrived at the hotel adlon and presented our Singapore vaccination certificates (see below) and received the entry into the hotel adlon. Unfortunately we had forgotten our history and underestimated the Prussians, as it turned out that this was only their first line of defense. we managed to get through the hotel lobby and were subsequently meant by the forces of quarré, who finally defeated us. we were told that only a QR code that can be scanned is a valid vaccination certificate. that seemed absurd, as internationally clearly requires that they must meet the German "2G" criteria, the stay in a hotel requires that they meet the "2G" criteria, but the restaurant quarré would not accept the Singapore vaccination certificate. that was a very humiliating and disappointing experience, and I'm really not sure what to do. Essentially, non-EU residents will not get access to the restaurant, which is terrible, but what is still frustrating is that the restaurant does not make it clear at all.
We had a birthday meal in Quarre with another couple. Very quiet, nicely lit. Everyone on best behavior. We opted for weiner schnitzel and roasted pork shoulder. All were excellent as were the accompaniments. Service was unobtrusive while being spot on. Excellent wine list.
Loved our time in this restaurant. We sat outside with a nice view of Brandenburg gate. The service by the two waiters were excellent. Dessert was delicious. I'm definitely coming back if I'm around the Brandenburg Gate
