The quality of the food is top notch. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant that doesnt just put the classics on the table but serve dishes starying from the beaten road in Italian cuisine Paul is worth a visit. The atmosphere and service...is at a high level as well, but still with a casual and relaxed ambience. The only small minus is the relatively narrow menucard. View all feedback.
What Boris Henke doesn't like about Paulo Scutarro:
we were 4 times for pizza (what is in order) maybe even great, but at 3 out of 4 travel the coverings were wrong? what's with it. we were clear when we ordered the waiter and he got everything three times, but in the translation something was always lost. we will try again one day, but in the meantime we will go to 12 apostles always great cake ... Yesterday we were at the restaurant Paul am Kurfürstendamm.
We have made it a tradition that when we stroll along the ku’dam in berlin, we can sit in the restaurant paul in no. 51 where we can sit outside. the only problem is that with good weather many others come to the same idea, so they just go when they have it in a hurry. we had an antipasta that tasted rich and absolutely good. the service is ok, so we stay at the tradition - a presto paul.
It would be a real service if you told people before ordering that they have to pay for a purchase value of less than 100,- € cash! instead of showing them a small set in the menu.
My friend and I were here together on our trip to berlin. we didn't reserve, but there was another place for us. the ambiente of the restaurant was beautiful. good lighting and good loudness of the music in the background. When we arrived, we got a free bread basket. I missed something like a sauce to lay up the brotes, but hey, it was free. the pizzas we ordered as a main dish were incredible! It was really the best pizza I've ever eaten. we had a red wine from Argentinia, which I can recommend. If I were living in berlin, I would definitely come back.
If you want to taste the Italian cuisine outside italian, paul is the right place with the best value for money. Caprese salad is excellent, with fresh mozzarella and pacchino tomatoes, Cesar salad is also very good, pasta plate very tasty and the selection of salami very diverse. the best part of the menu are pizzas. . . fairly tiny with delicious ingredients. the real Italian pizza is tiny and so far the chef in paul was the only one who could reproduce this special kind of pizza preparation, which is the main difference to the real Italian pizza and to those in different pizza hat restaurants.Crem brulee is excellent, as well as the espresso coffee at the end of the eating. the best is the bill, which is extremely appropriate in view of the quality of the served food and the city part in which the restaurant is located. the only objection concerns the fact that the restaurant accepts only cash payments. there are no ccs accepted, so they must have some cash in the bag if they decide to eat at paul.
