Porta Nova - Berlin

I was here to have dinner and get something to eat. I thought was ok after reading the comments on TripAdvisor.bur it was NOT.My experience was really bad. I wondered how much fresh was the food... but we can say you will survive. The service the worst I never had until now. Arrogance without caring of nothing and absolutely insolent. Never happen to feel so bad sitting in a restaurant with the aim to eat, not to be treated like that! Absolutely rash.

Porta Nova is ok for a quick lunch: The lunch deal is very affordable, service is very quick and professional. However, food could be better (my pizza wasn't completely baked and very greasy) and the atmosphere could be cozier.

Had some spinach gnocchis with parmesan sauce. They were tasty. My partner had a pizza, that was okay.

We are staying at Adina Hotel in Mitte and on the first evening there was a terrible thunderstorm. We decided to eat at Porta Nova mainly because we could see it! We headed out and had a really lovely evening. I chose tagliatelle with salmon and lobster sauce and my husband had penne with strips of steak in a mushroom and cognac sauce. Both were outstanding. We had a half litre of Montepulciano and pleasant desserts. Good service and very quick. It was well worth the visit and we will remember it for future trips.

Bon restaurant italien proche de notre appart'hôtel (Adina). Très bonne lasagne et copieuse salade de roquette à la parmigiana.
