This is an Italian restaurant run by an Italian which is less common than you would expect in Berlin. They do an excellent daily lunch menu my advice is to eat whatever they recommend and gwt there at the beginning of the lunch break...if you want the biggest choice. The food is excellent quality. Not cheap but good value. Portion sizes seem to vary and you will need to ask for extra bread but I have never had a bad... View all feedback.
What Therese Hiller doesn't like about Pontecarlo:
Most of the times the food is no good at this place or bearable but below average. The pasta is normally overcooked, and the toppings are either not well cooked or you get something like three pathetic, rubbery mini meatballs. I've been going Ponte only...because some coworkers took me here. I've eaten at this place approx times in the last year, but never enjoyed their meal. I think they don't even have a real kitch... Perfect delicious food proper homemade Italian and the owner is very kind I saw a family look at the menu and then walk away and I said they are missing out on the best meal of there life thank u gambi I will be coming...back from harry
Spontaneous decision and we just in. They look surprised to see us because there some small group party inside, but they take us in. The owner is an artist that cook from love and you can taste it. The atmosphere is friendly but little messy...like in a family. We recommend to try
We stumbled across this place by chance whilst looking for somewhere to have dinner. It was quiet but I put that down to it being winter and a weekday. The waiter who also happened to be the chef and I assume the owner was very...friendly and happy to help with translating the menu. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed and all in all, we were very happy with every aspect. The gentleman also brought over some chilli oil just to give it a bit more of a kick if we decided the food needed it not that it did and then sent us away with two warming alcoholic shots to keep us warm! Just lovely
A delightful little Italian restaurant with a great ambience and equally great food. Service was quick and friendly and the jazz music playing made it even more enjoyable
Wanted to give this star as the food was top class. They had a set menu due to a party being in so had antipasta starter, Bolognese and chicken with spaghetti for main and blueberry panacotta to finish. Each meal hit the mark. The...reason for star was they didnt take card, the door was jarred open creating a cold draft was deg outside, the waitress was really new and there was a shawl on a coat rack behind us which was stinking and the draft kept wafting the smell occasionally
