I've been to Petrocelli's previously and went this time with my partner on our last day in Berlin. Service was prompt and helpful with a good number of English speaking staff to help us as my German isn't the best!I had penne alarrabiata and my partner had gnocchi with truffle. Both were generous portions and very enjoyable for lunch. I'd be happy to recommend Petrocelli's to anyone looking for a good Italian meal in... View all feedback.

Rude service losing interest when ginding out we only wanted drink. Asked for a beer on the menu but Simply was offered another label without no reason. Wanted to pay by creditcard but apparantly there was no wifi connection so after tries we paid...cash and the waiter never returned the change but Simply thought it to be a tip. What a disappointment View all feedback.
A complete disaster began with the unfriendly wellcome. The waiter did not let us sit at the main restaurant area as those tables were reserved. However one couple cane and sat there without a reservation after almost five minutes. Meanwhile the waiter who should be...serving to us brought drinks to her friends first who came after us. I reminded her that we came before and we were waiting for water. She advised me not to complain about small things and to enjoy the dinner. The salmon carpaccio was tasteless, it tasted if it was left in the water for a while. So my son couldn’t eat it. Meanwhile the meat carpaccio was ok. We complained about it then the waiter took it back and brought the menu. Nobody came again to ask if he wants to order something instead. We have spent almost one hour with the starter and asked the waiter about the main dishes. Instead of apologizing she “politely” said that they were waiting for my son’s order?!? I was really nervous at that point. The other waiter was shocked when she heard that we are still waiting for the main dishes. We have waited another I was really angry and I said that I won’t pay for the dishes for that I was waiting one and a half hour. Reluctantly I ate my salmon. It was ok, salad dressing was probably with mayonnaise wich I don’t prefer. My son who likes pizza very much could not finish as the pizza dough wasn’t crusty and tasty. Finally I asked for a favor which is indeed useless because our evening was spoiled. The friendly waiter came and asked for a dessert or coffee but we wanted to leave. At the the “polite soeaking” lady came with the bill. She cancelled two small bottles of water and a salmon carpaccio which she should to cancel! And she claimed that my son ate the half of the salmon which was not true! She insisted that she had done a favor with cancelling drinks!!! Drinks was just mineral water! It was unacceptable for me! I insisted to make a favor for almost minutes waiting time. Finally The other lady came and canceled one of the pizza at least. It was the worst dinner experience from the beginning to the end that I have ever had.
We have visited Berlin once or twice a year through the last years. Petrocelli is next to the hotel we stayed in the first times, and it became a tradition to come here. Great pizzas, good wine, ‘Italian’ service, great atmosphere, not too...expensive and lots of people. Not at least our daughters, now and loved the place. During the years Petrocelli went ever so slightly down the slippery slope of lower quality food, higher prices and worse service. But tradition still brought us back. Last year we decided that it had been the final visit, the atmosphere was gone, together with the good food and the service. And then we anyway came back last week, maybe in the hope that a bit of the old magic would be back. Not so! After being seated at a table inside and having ordered drinks (no available seats outside), we waited to order food. And waited. And waited. The waitresses were not overworked in the half empty restaurant but apparently not interested in servicing us as guests. She honestly couldn’t care less. Then we left. Of course after having explained to the head waitress the year story behind. So much for tradition and customer loyalty. Farewell Petrocelli, may you rest in peace.
We had to get our own cutlery from another table nearby as no one seemed interested! You can’t even have a glass of tap water because they want you to pay a high price for bottled water. The food is very average. Better to get...away from Kudamm perhaps.
This is a place I really enjoy. An open, inviting restaurant that flows onto the wide pavement of the Kurfurstendamm (Ku'Damm to the locals) close to Hotel California and the BleibTreustr bus stop. An Italian inspired menu with great choices and interesting specialities. A full...range to suit any palette including great deserts. Comprehensive wine list as well as good wines by the glass. My favourite is the seafood soup it has heaps of fresh seafood and piquant broth (there is a milder version). What a great way to spend an evening with friends!
